Introductory Note
Hello SSAP participant,
Welcome!
My name is Apeh Omede and I am very glad to welcome you to this online program. If you have not met me before, let me introduce myself briefly. I am a multi-award winning young scientist, with the recent award being a Marie Curie Fellow. Over the years, I have won more than $400,000 in scholarships, research grants and awards. Currently, I am a lecturer and researcher at the University of Tasmania in Australia.
I have put together experiences from my journey and mistakes I made along the way in this course to help you succeed easier than it was for me.
This is going to be a 90-day journey for you. Our focus will be mainly on research based program as this is where most of the money and opportunities are. However, we will also be able to look at non-research based scholarships as well.
During the program, you will have opportunity to learn different things that are applicable to all forms of scholarship applications. You will have opportunity to interact with others on the program.
You will be able to access links, files and templates that will be helpful to your search as well. Above all, you will have me to support you during this period. So, if you are ready, let’s jump in.
Through out the course and the program, there will be activities that you will be involved with to help you understand the entire scholarship process. It is important that you attend to them. Now, let’s kick off. Head to the videos for this chapter below.
